Background
This was HP Compaq's mainstream laptop. In its time it was available at a cheap price, but delivered only modest performance.
Released in 2005, the Compaq Presario V2000 series came outfitted with anything from a Celeron M 1.4GHz to a Pentium M 1.8GHz processor, a HDD between 40-80GB, from 256MB to 2GB of RAM, and a 48WHr battery. This laptop weighs in at about 5.5 lb and boasts a 14in wide-screen WXGA display.
Identification
The Compaq Presario V2414NR can be identified by the model number "V2414NR" printed on the label located on the bottom of the device. If the label has been removed, you can find the model number beneath the battery.
