Unresponsive Keyboard

 The laptop's keyboard can have damaged, stuck, or defective keys. Keyboard issues may be noticed by mushy or unresponsive keys.

Unresponsive keys

Replace the keycaps if only a small number of keys are impacted. Replace the old keycap by replacing a single key or if necessary, replace the keyboard.

Battery Dies Quickly

The laptop has been used extensively or has been exposed to high temperatures, this may deplete the battery quickly.

Laptop Overheating

 Users laptop began to overheat and to slow down tremendously.

Dirt Vents and Fan

Check the air vents make sure that the air vents on your laptop are not blocked by dust or other debris. Use air to blow out any dust that has accumulated on the vents.

If the fan is clean but has stopped spinning, follow this guide to replace the fan assembly.

The RAM Chips are soldered onto the Motherboard. So the replacement advice is clearly a generic text-block.

Hi @carstenhiort, thank you for your message. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by incomplete information on this page. Originally, a team of students started this page but did not complete it, so we marked it with the "Page Stub" flag last year to indicate that it needed more information. Unfortunately, we have no way of making this page private. I appreciate you bringing to our attention that the RAM is soldered, making the information provided inaccurate. I will remove this topic. My name is listed on the Troubleshooting page as the "author" because I fixed the URL. However, the information about the device was from a student team. Thanks again for letting us know about the RAM!
