Background
The Xiaomi Air 12 was released in August 2016 in China. The laptop is exclusive to China and comes in both silver and gold colors. There is a larger size for the laptop called the Xiaomi Air 13, which features a 13.3 inch screen, 0.8 inches larger than that of the 12.
Identification
The most accurate way to identify the Xiaomi Air 12 is to look at the bottom of the laptop for the model number. The model number is displayed by two Chinese characters (型号) followed by the numbers 161201, a dash, and two characters to identify the color. The Xiaomi Air 12 can also be identified by the Mi logo on the bottom edge of the screen and at its base. The laptop is made entirely out of aluminum and has no logo on the front of the computer.
