Xiaomi Air 12 Screen Replacement

What you need

    • Remove the screws on the back. 1 of them is under the rubber pads in the center

    • Remove the back gently. Screen replacement stick can help. There are several plastic holding it.

    Edit

    • Remove the connectors going to the screen. 2 wifi cables near the battery. One camera cable halfway to the carger. One screen cable on at the HDMI.

    • Remove the screws holding the hinges on the corners. 4 screws holding them.

    • Turn the hinges upwards till 90 degrees.

    • Remove the screen from the main board.

    • Remove 2 screws from the bottom.

    • pull the screen towards the place of the screws and it will come out.

    • Remove the screen. Remove the connector cable.

    • Check if the cable was wrong not the whole screen.

    Edit

    • Do everything backwards.

    • Connect the cable.

    • Push the new screen away from the places of the screws.

    • Add the screws.

    • Put back the whole together. Turn the hinges back.

    • Add the screws to the holes marked with a triangle.

    • Reconnect the cables to the main board.

    • Put back the lid of the main board.
