Background
Released October 2002, the ThinkPad A31 is part of IBM's A30 series. It is highly reliable and proficient for most computing needs. The laptop is very sturdy with moderate battery life. It features a 15.1" TFT display with 1400x1050 resolution. It has a 20GB hard drive, 128MB RAM with a max 512 MB module, and an Intel Pentium 4-M processor.
Identification
The IBM ThinkPad A31 laptop has a thick, heavy design. It measures 329–330 mm (13.0 inches) × 272.5 mm (10.7 inches) × 44.6–45.8 mm (1.8 inches) and weighs approximately 3.2 kg (7.1 lbs) without the optical drive and 7.7 lbs with the optical drive. The laptop housing is made of matte black plastic. You can find the model number and other product information printed on a label on the bottom of the laptop.
