MacBook Pro 14" 2021 Repair

Apple completely redesigned the MacBook Pro line for late 2021. Introduced alongside new, advanced versions of their own custom silicon M1 chip, the new M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs feature 10-core CPUs and up to 16-core and 32-core GPUs respectively. Both the new 14” MacBook Pro and its bigger 16” MacBook Pro sibling feature the return of more ports, ProMotion HDR mini-LED displays, 1080p webcams with display notch, full-size function keys, and a distinctive blacked-out keyboard well.

Starting at $1999, 2021’s 14” MacBook Pro is available in either Silver or Space Gray.

iFixit's initial repairability score for the redesigned MacBook Pro was 4/10, but it was later uprated to 5/10 after Apple publicly released their service manual and made original replacement parts available for purchase by end users.
