Background
The Capresso PerfecTea 260 was released in October of 2012. It is composed of three major parts: the base, the heater, and the kettle.
One major failure of this model is that it gives off a benzene-like odor when heating the water. Other failures include the handle and lid breaking off as well as the plastic around the device becoming deformed. This model is also known for having calcium build up after several uses.
