Why is my left joystick grinding?
Recently noticed my left joystick is gritty/grinding against the plastic. I’ve had my controller since release and play mostly FPS games.

Hi!
Do you still have warranty on the controller?
If yes, return it and get yourself a new one!
If not, replace the thumbstick (plastic) caps first. You do need to de-solder and solder the wire again, but it’s not very difficult.

If that doesn’t work, then you do need to replace the joystick it self, this requires soldering as well but is more difficult.
Hopefully it’s just the plastic caps.
