Fixing the power port

My psone does not turn on when plugged however pushing or forcing the cable a little deeper actually makes it work but with a a distorted image and once I stop applying pressure on the cable it stops working

The DC-In jack is either loose on the motherboard and needs to be resoldered back onto the board or is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Here's the ifixit PlayStation One Mother Board Replacement guide that will help to gain access to the jack

Search online for PS1 DC-In jack to find suppliers that suit you best.
