Side Buttons Not Responding

When you press the side buttons, they are unresponsive.

Side Buttons Cracked Or Loose

Since the side buttons are made out of plastic and crack easily, they may require replacement.

Side Buttons Have Popped Off

The side buttons may have popped off the case and are no longer functioning with the motherboard. If this happens, you will need to open up the case and readjust the side buttons. See the replacement guide for more information.

Front Camera Not Working

When you turn on the front camera, the screen is black.

Dust On Outside

Check for obstructions covering the camera (which is located in the top right of the tablet when it is oriented with the logo on the bottom). If you do find that there is an excessive amount of dust obstructing the camera’s lens, use a lint-free cloth to gently wipe away the dust.

Faulty Camera

If no obstructions are found, the camera may be broken or damaged and requires replacement.

No Sound In Headphones

Headphones are plugged in, but sound only comes out of speaker.

Headphones Not Completely Plugged In

Check if your headphones are plugged all the way into the audio jack to ensure proper connection to the tablet.

Faulty Headphones

Try using different headphones. If the sound works with the new headphones, then the old headphones are broken.

Faulty Audio Jack

Try using different headphones, ensuring that they are completely plugged into the audio jack. If they do not work, the tablet's audio jack may be damaged.

No Sound From Speaker

There is sound coming from earphones, but no sound comes out of the tablet’s speaker.

Volume is Turned Off

You may have the volume turned off. To turn it back on, use the physical volume control buttons on the side of the tablet, or go to Settings > Device > Sound and raise the volume there.

Faulty Speaker

The speaker may be broken or damaged and requires replacement.

Tablet Won’t Turn On

The tablet will not turn on.

Battery Not Charged

If your tablet won’t turn on, it may be too low on battery. Plug it in and charge your tablet.

Faulty Power Adapter

If your tablet is working properly but will not charge when plugged into the power adapter, try using a compatible charger that you know works on other devices. If it works, you may want to buy a new power adapter or just use the compatible charger.

Loose Charging Port

If the power adapter does not stay in the charging port, the charging port may be damaged or broken.

Faulty Battery

The battery may be broken, damaged, or at the end of its effective life and requires replacement.

Touchscreen Not Responding To Touch

The touchscreen does not register touches.

Screen is Dirty

Clear the screen of any moisture or dirt, which may interfere with the screen’s ability to sense touches.

You are Wearing Gloves

Touchscreens will not work when wearing certain gloves, so make sure you take them off to see if the problem persists.

Digitizer is Broken

If the touchscreen still does not respond after the solutions above, the digitizer may be the problem and will require replacement.

Distorted Display

The colors on the display are distorted.

LCD Screen is Cracked

A cracked LCD screen could cause the display colors to be distorted, and will require replacement.

Device Overheated

If the device overheats, the LCD cable may loosen and distort the colors on the display. Try to firmly hit the screen while the device is laying face-up on a flat surface. If this does not work, the LCD will require replacement.

Water Damage

The display may be distorted due to water damage. Try turning the device off and submerging it completely in uncooked rice overnight. If colors are still distorted once the device is turned on, then the LCD will require replacement.

My tablet model is 7q at first it wouldn’t turn on, but when it did only the left of the touch screen was working. Does anyone know how to fix it without replacing it? Thanks.
