Introduction
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513 has a 15,6" screen that ranges from washed out to the best colors we currently have.
3 common configurations:
- 1. = sRGB: 62,5%, NTSC: 45%, Adobe: 47,34%
- 2. = sRGB: 100%, NTSC: 72%, Adobe: 75,35%
- 3. = DCI-P3: 100%
So make sure you select the correct one. This tutorial assumes that the replacement screen module you have already come with the whole screen construction like bezels and hinges and most importantly the EDP cable that connects to the motherboard.
Some 'better' models that can change the color of the logo backlight on the back of your screen need a different EDP cable than the standard one. It uses 2 connectors behind the screen panel and 2 on the motherboard while the standard uses 1 connector behind the screen panel and 1 on the motherboard.
Shortly: If your screen is damaged, and you want to replace it find the correct configuration by making sure one of those 3 options of the screen panel is compatible with yours and if you can change your logo color on the back cover of your screen lid look for EDP cable where 2 small cables are hanging out of a hinge and if you cannot change the logo color, and it is just a white logo than you need an EDP cable where only 1 small cable is dangling out of a hinge.
