Background and Identification

The Toniebox is a compact audio player for kids above the age of 3. It was released in early 2016 by the newly founded company Boxnie from Düsseldorf (Germany). The audio files are loaded from the cloud if a small figurine with an NFC Chip (Tonie) is placed on the Toniebox. After the audio files are downloaded from the cloud and stored on the internal storage, the Tonies are used as a start/stop button when they are placed on or removed from the Toniebox. The Toniebox has a soft shell and easy motion controls.
