Stripping Beats Wires For Connection

I have these earbuds, and I don't know how to strip off the out shielding, it just stretches, and when I try to use a knife, I cut through the wire. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that these are not wireless, these are an older wired version.

Use a pair of cuticle scissors to get under it and cut it along the wires then carefully trim it off around them. It looks to have been molded around the wires and is probably going to be difficult to do. You might also heat up a relatively dull flat knife and try melting it away then freeze it and break it off the wires. Use acetone or a safe solvent to dissolve it from the wires maybe. Do this outdoors or in a fume hood or under the stove hood or wear a respirator... When using a sharp knife to strip wire, don't turn the wires under the knife, position the knife and press it down then pull it away slightly and turn the wire then press down again. Rolling the wire on a sharp blade will definitely cut it. If you're going to resolder the wires use a rosin core solder to clean the bare wires. Use heat shrink to reinsulate the junction and if you wrap it with electrical tape put a small cable tie around the top layer to prevent it from unwinding. Good luck
