Error 14 on a 600-series Roomba (the 675 is one) is not a motor or battery fault. It means the robot does not see a bin installed: the bin-detect contacts are not completing the circuit.

In order:

1. Pull the bin out and reseat it, pressing down until it seats fully. A half-seated bin throws 14.

2. Clean the metal contact pads on the bin and the matching pads in the robot with rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip or rag, until they are bright and debris-free. Dust and pet hair on those pads is the usual cause (it is iRobot's own fix).

3. Inspect for corroded or bent contact pins. If a pad is damaged, the bin's contact strip is the failed part.

4. Still 14 with clean, seated contacts? Swap in a known-good bin. That tells you whether the bin's contact strip or the robot's contact board is the fault.

It is a $0 fix most of the time and you do not need to open the robot.
