CD Stuck in radio unit AD6806

Hi everyone!

long story short, i had my starter replaced and forgot to take the CD out before i did it 🤦‍♀️ now the CD is stuck and a google search goes nowhere. trying the old "hold power + eject for 15 seconds" doesn't work either. any advice on the matter would be appreciated! do i disconnect the battery? or is there a button combination?

Options

Here are a few things to try from google if your radio is actually powered up, it does power up right? If not, check for a blown fuse. if it is good, try these:

instead of disconnecting the battery, you can try to pull the radio fuse
Insert a blank or unused CD halfway into the slot and gently press the eject button while applying slight pressure on the stuck CD.
If electronic methods fail, turn off the stereo and use a thin, flat, non-metallic tool (like a credit card) to gently slide alongside the CD and assist it out while pressing the eject button
Stick double-sided tape to a popsicle stick and insert it into the CD player.

it does power up, i'll try pulling the fuse! i tried putting a CD i don't care about inside but it gets stuck on some sort of "door", almost like my radio has something protecting the CD inside once its inserted. admittedly i care more about this CD than the radio itself (which i plan on upgrading)
