Lol time to move to Linux! Did the PC crash immediately in the desktop or randomly? otherwise I suggest that you redownload the ISO and another bootable USB, if you have another maybe you can try it too.

Is there an error code provided when it crashes? That would help determine the cause.

If the hard drive on this laptop is the one that came with the laptop, I recommend buying and replacing it, then reinstall the operating system. This laptop supports two different type of drives. You can find out which is compatible on a site like iFixit's here: HP ProBook 400 Series Parts

I personally hate the way windows has been going. It's what mostly made me move towards linux. Definitely do a redownload of the ISO file if possible. That's a good starting point. If that fails, see if your machine is running strictly legacy in bios. Windows 11 is based on GPT which requires UEFI bios. It is not compatible with legacy.

Double check the SHA of your .iso

If its the same as Microsoft signs, then the iso is fine so you should try a different install media. Bad flash drive can act perfect 99.999% of the time but starts to be funky when gets hot from running for a long time (such as a prolonged install).

If nether of those, then you should run the self-test in the bios to check your ram & hdd. Otherwise, as others have said, read the error code as it might give you a hint. Try 3 or so times, if same code each time, than dive deeper. If you get different codes, ie, something different is going wrong each time, than your looking at a hardware issue.
