Hi @nethan
Try this, try updating the computer audio drivers from lenovo and see if it helps.
If external 3.5mm audio jack devices work well, there is a possible that the internal computer speaker could be degraded, e.g. foam rot.
If your laptop is still covered under warranty, would suggest to send in for servicing.
else open up and inspect on the speaker condition.
