@delosohomer you are not providing enough information for a definite solution. We would need to know what exact year and engine size your Fit is. Also, let us know how far down the RPM's drop.
Common issues with the smaller engines are related to a dirty Throttle Body, an ECU that requires a idle relearn procedure as well as a bad AC compressor that might be failing and causing a drag on the engine. Start with those things and give us the details about your Fit so we can try and help you with that.
