Why is my system restarting itself?

@usamasoba there are quite a few things that could be causing this. You will have to investigate a bit more to try to determine what is going on with it. IT is possible that this is caused by a thermal shutdown. Your laptop is tin with a tiny cooling system. Your thermal paste between the CPU and the heatsink has likely dried out long ago and turned to chalk, and the cooling fins on your fan could be packed with dust. That can cause your computer to shut off.

It is also possible that this is caused by failing RAM. A random reboot combined with a blue screen is a common symptom of a memory error. The 2016 LG Gram usually has some RAM soldered directly to the motherboard, but it also features one expandable RAM slot. If you are using the RAM slot, remove that RAM stick, clean the gold contacts with a cotton tip applicator and +90% isopropyl alcohol, and firmly reseat it.

A bad SSD can also cause this. If the drive is starting to fail, the controller chip will occasionally drop its connection to the motherboard. When Windows suddenly loses physical access to its system files, it "panics" and throws a blue screen, and then instantly reboots the computer.

Lastly I'd check the battery. If you are still using the original battery, it is most likely heavily degraded. When your laptop demands a sudden spike of power, a worn-out battery will experience a massive voltage sag. The logic board detects this drop and instantly shuts the computer down to prevent hardware damage.

As you can tell, it's time to remove the bottom cover and to take a good look around. Let us know what you find out. Since iFixit does not yet have a guide for this, use something like this video to work on yours. This should be a 2017 model but will essential be the same as yours.

One thing before all of that would be to check the Event Logs. Reading those you can actually determine what Windows "tells you" about why it shut down.
