Repair and disassembly information for the AirPods (3rd Generation) wireless earbuds from Apple.

AirPod has two different volumes

This is gonna sound nuts. I have a pair of AirPods that have been very quite, like I need almost full volume to hear them. Now I lost one AirPod, did my wash, and you can guess where I found it. In the washer. Now this washed AirPod was sitting in the sun (as recommended on this platform) ,and now the %#*@ audio works amazingly. But of course this is only for the one AirPod and the other is still quiet. I don't know what to do or how to make them even. Any help?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi!

I understand your question as the AirPod that went through the washing machine survived fine, and has a good volume output, whereas the other AirPod is still at a low volume.

Unequal volumes, or lower volumes in earbuds is often caused by wax buildup at the grills/meshes.

You can solve this by cleaning the AirPods, Apple has an official guide on how to clean your AirPods that you can read here: Apple Guide: Clean your AirPods.

Good luck,

Cheers
