Stuck in safe mode/crashes constantly
Hi everyone, hoping for some advice or knowledge on a PS5 Pro which simply refuses to start properly, it is stuck in a Safe Mofe loop I have tried all 8 options in Safe Mode. It either crashes/freezes depending on the option selected or if it completes the operation it still boots back into safe mode.
I think the reason why it keeps on booting back into Safe mode is because it is crashing within seconds of startup and needs to be switched off and on again.
I don't really know if its worth sending off for repair? Is this even repairable I am struggling to find much on this issue online.
Is this a good question?

@charlie2405 Does the PS5 give you a crash log? That can help us determine what the problem is more accurately.

@user5136121 Thanks for your reply, I don't know how I would access the crash log? Only thing I can see sometimes is an error code in the corner but most of the time it just freezes. It seems to be time limited too, for example if I quickly select an option whilst on safe mode like updating via USB it almost makes it to the end but crashes just before completing. However if I take my time on the Safe Mode menu and then choose the same option it crashes much earlier in the process.

@charlie2405 Okay... could you share us the error code, or take a picture of the error code?

@user5136121 Hi, sorry for my late reply. I decided to go through each option on Safe mode and make notes of what happens each time:
So for Options 1, 2, 3 I just get a black screen and the PS5 crashes requiring me to hold the power button for like 15 seconds to switch it off. It then either boots back into Safe mode or shows a black screen again requiring another power off before it eventually reaches Safe mode.
Option 4: It starts to update via USB but crashes again, screen freezes and stays stuck incomplete e.g 660mb/1.3gb done and the update never completes to the full 1.3gb. So I have to power it off again by holding the power button for 15 secs.
Option 5: it crashes again and I get the Error code: SU-101600-8, the screen says Something went wrong and gives the option to Restart PS5.
Option 6 is the same as Options 1, 2 and 3.
Option 7: it completes the Reset and boots the PS5 like normal even showing the PS logo but crashes right after requiring another holding down power button for 15 secs.

For Option 8: I get 3 different scenarios, sometimes it just stays stuck on 'Please Wait' and crashes requiring a hard reset.
Or it says 'The Update file is corrupted' when trying via USB but I have downloaded the update again and tried different USB sticks and still get the same error, there is also an error code: SU-101265-5.
And the third option says 'Something went Wrong' and gives the error code: SU-101291-4.
The PS5 Pro is just out a few months out of warranty so a little over a year old so I can't send it back to Sony under warranty.
