Hi @carolyndanek

What is the model number of the microwave oven?

Are you sure that the turntable motor is the problem?

The problems described below can cause the turntable to not turn smoothly but turn with a jerky movement.

Remove the turntable and roller ring from the oven and then run your fingers lightly around the track on the floor of the oven that the roller ring wheels run on and check that it is very smooth and has no bumps due to small, burnt on food deposits etc.

If it feels rough, clean the track until it feels smooth to the touch, using baking soda, bit of water and a microfibre cloth.

If the track is OK also check the rollers on the roller ring to make sure that there are no flat spots i.e. rollers are perfectly round. If there are flat spots on the rollers, you can try removing them using fine sandpaper until it is round again, otherwise you will have to replace the entire roller ring as the rollers are not individually available.

If the track and rollers were OK, then knowing the model number of the oven will help to find the correct replacement turntable motor part for the oven
