First of all I try and power my 3ds and the screens will not turn on but the blue light is present. I boot it into safe mode, my screen will instantly freeze and I will be unable to connect to the internet or update my system. Removed the micro sd card to rule out a corrupted card. The freezing problem will still remain. What can I do to get my system to stop instantly freezing

Hi!
Could be many things... From CPU/motherboard to the Wi-Fi card... I think it is something on the motherboard.
How are your soldering skills?
Since it does boot into safe mode so far, it's most likely not the screens.
Is the New 3DS XL modded? Could be software related.

It is not modded, my soldering skills are mid to fair lol, I wish the motherboards were in stock on this site, I would just buy a whole new one

Make sure to select: New 3DS XL.
Also, you could contact a local repair shop and ask them to inspect it. Is that a option for you?
If the phone keeps freezing instantly then they would have to flash the phone system entirely, thet would be the best solution

Hi!
This is regarding a New 3DS XL and not regarding a phone. Since it’s completely frozen in safe mode and won’t boot at all when trying to boot it. There is no way to reflash the NAND. Also, for stock consoles, you cannot reflash it by factory standards. Only updating.
