Thought it was an easy fix

I bought a replacement joystick because I was having bad drift, followed the instructions and opened everything up only to find that the casings for the screws holding the joystick are completely snapped. What do I do now? Is there a way to re attach? I don’t want to buy a new switch

Hi!

Thanks for the pictures!!

Those are indeed completely broken and done for.

I would replace the shell for a known quality one OR buy a donor/broken Switch Lite and use that shell (the donor one I recommend more).

This is the ultimate fix you want.

Using glue to secure the sticks are most likely making things worse…

Is this an option for you? Thanks!

Thank you, that is what I was afraid of but I found a front casing on Replace Base and I am hoping that will work!
