You may be confusing two sensors, the mass airflow sensor (MAF) and the manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP). The maf sensor measures airflow and intake air temperature (temperature sensor inside the maf sensor), mounted between the air filter and throttle body in the plastic air tubing. It will have one, four or five wire connection.
The map sensor is mounted somewhere on the intake manifold and smaller than the maf sensor. The map sensor measures vacuum in the intake manifold.
