A touch screen issue can be caused by many things. In this case it is stated that it became an issue after updating from windows 10 to windows 11. If the system hasn't had any hard impacts or been handled a little to rough then the issue is most likely that the driver that was installed on windows 10 is not compatible with windows 11. It is possible to check this normally by using the mouse and Right Click the windows logo on the taskbar. Then find and Left click Device Manager. This will give you the list of devices in your system that normally require drivers. Look for error indicators on each device. If you see something like a yellow or red mark on one of them then double Left click on that item. Now a property box should come up and in the device status box it should say what your computer thinks is wrong. Most of the time it will say something like driver is missing or the device is not functioning properly. Now to fix the issue, First thing and most important verify the computer and all of its hardware is officially Windows 11 compatible by going to Google and asking google if your computer is compatible with windows 11 by using the computers make and model(make sure to include if the system is a specific generation. With HP it will have the model name and in that it will have the letter G and a number right after). If google says your computer is not compatible then there is a high probability that it will be extremely hard to get a compatible driver for the touchscreen because Microsoft has done everything they can to make it so you have to have approved Hardware for windows 11. Now if your computer is compatible with windows 11 then going to the Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support https://share.google/XFoIB51WV3uaDieD2 and inputting your computers information will give you the ability to see available drivers for your computer and then download them. To pick the correct drivers just match the device name your computer has to the closest driver name available on the HP site and then verify it says it is for windows 11. Then download it. Now if the device name in your computer is basically unknown then you will need to click the details tab on the property box and then click the drop down and select Hardware ID. This will give some information about the device and if it isn't obvious what the device is now just go to Google again and ask what device it is and make sure to type the hardware id information correctly in to Google. Google should provide the information on what device it is. Now again just download the driver for that. Once the driver downloads check if it is a .ZIP file. If it is then Right Click the file and select extract all. If it is not a .ZIP file just click it. It should now run the installation. If it says something about a driver already being installed it will normally give an option to install anyways. Now if you had to extract the .ZIP file you need to click what extracted from the .ZIP file and it should do exactly the same thing. Once the drivers installed restart the system by clicking the windows icon on the taskbar and select restart. Once it restarts verify it worked by checking device manager again. If it didn't work there is a chance that you need to remove/uninstall the original driver and then install the one you want but with windows that can be very complicated because it loves to reinstall things like drivers right after you tell it to uninstall them. If that happens I recommend paying a professional computer technician to help with your issue. I don't recommend places like best buy to get a pro computer technician to look at your issue. I recommend using Google and basically ask it to find you a local computer technician or repair shop that is independently owned and operated.
Best of luck,
