Half thedashboard cluster stops working

Speedometer tachometer, mileage temperature gauge stops working dealership said dashboard cluster was bad. Replaced it still same problem.

Hi @christophe39043

After replacing the instrument cluster, for the speedometer, tachometer, and warning lights etc to function properly you have to reprogram the cluster so that it can communicate correctly with the ECM (engine control module) and BCM (Body Control Module) as they both would have been matched to the existing cluster.

For a Kia you would need to have a compatible GDS/VCI diagnostic tool and also Kia's KDS software

At the top of the page in this link is an AI guide that explains what is needed to be done.

There's no information in the service manual regarding how to reprogram the cluster so if all else fails you may have to get a Kia dealer to do it for you.
