3.5 CU. FT. Top-Load Washer with Dual Action Agitator. Released 2016.

Stuck on final rinse, LED flashing

Hello. I was originally getting a flashing LED for Final Spin and it wouldn't progress past it.

I would try to press drain/spin and it will only drain a bit and then not spin.

I have replaced the shift actuator, splutch kit, and capacitor(even though old one was good).

After replacing the parts I have done a recalibration and the issue still persisted.

I went into Diag mode and got a code F7E1 for Basket speed. During Auto test it went through it completely fine.

In manual mode it everything seems to work except for it being on "LowSpin/HighSpin" where I get nothing. Agitation mode works fine. The windings of the motor were in spec as I was going through trouble shooting steps.

I'm currently at the point where I'm trying to check voltage on J12 / J2 connector. My multimeter isn't thin enough to backprobe the 4 pin J12 connector.

What else can I do to fix this washer?

Also when roommates use the washer it's sometimes unbalanced and clunks until we stop the cycle and rebalance the load. Tub suspension bolts seem intact by the way

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @aceb56029

Follow the tachometer verification test as per p.5 of the tech sheet and check what you find.

Sorry I did also do this test before and forgot to mention. As I slowly turned the basket the LEDs lit up at each cycle

If it passes all of the Test #3B drive system tests (p.14→p.16 in the tech sheet) it looks like it might be a main control board problem, unless the drum is binding as it rotates.

Did you check that the drum rotates smoothly when you manually turn it?

Also did you check all 4 suspension rods to make sure that they're all OK? Test them by pressing down hard on the tub and then release it and check if it quickly returns to normal and then stops or whether it bounces up and down for a little bit.

If it bounces a few times, one or more of the rods has lost tension. Search for W10780045.

They come as a kit of 4 rods so you may have to replace all anyway.

The drum does rotate smoothly. Only thing is it hums when it's time for a final spin.

How am I supposed to backprobe the J12 connector to test it? The J12 connector is at the bottom of the board at an awkward angle and isn't like a "normal" 4 pin connector that my leads can backprobe

Also all the tension rods rebound fine without excess
