Repair information for Samsung dishwashers.

Samsung dishwasher auto light blinking

Hey guys, my Samsung dishwasher auto light blinks after the wash cycle when reaching the rinse cycle. Each time, I can simply switch it off and switch it on then start a new full cycle without issue.

I've read that it's an issue with the water supply, but I don't understand how it wouldn't fail on the initial wash cycle, or why it doesn't fail at all on the subsequent run.

I tried priming the hot water beforehand and during the cycle to make sure hot water is always available, but it didn't work.

What should I do?

Hi @charlesmat24088

See p.59 (61 of 89 pdf) in the service manual for how to enter the Service Inspection mode and perform mode 1 checks.

On p.61 (63 of 89 pdf) it details how to check the if the water inlet system is OK.

There's a mention of a flowmeter which measures the amount of water entering but I can't find it in the manual except that it connects to the control board on the control board connector CN301 pin 5 - see p.81 (83 of 89 pdf). Usually flowmeters are a reed switch which is magnetically operated by a turbine wheel with a magnet attached which is in the flow path. As the wheel turns it causes the reed switch to send pulses to the control board which counts them to know how much water has entered the machine.

Have read that it is located near the water inlet valve. Just mentioning this if all the other tests prove OK.
