Areas to consider in determining why a power window fails; broken up/dn switch, loose/corroded connections, blown fuse, worn/damaged windows track, worn out power unit, wiring damage at the door hinge from years of flexing the wire harness from opening/closing door.
Start by checking for a blown fuse, if good then remove the driver's master window switches and measure for 12v on passenger switch wire connection to be sure power is available. ACCessary or ignition must be on to test for 12v at switches. Usually, power is distributed equally to driver's and passenger switches. If power to the driver's switch is there but doesn't operate the window, remove the passenger side window switch and measure wire connections for 12v. No 12v, wire harness problem. With 12v on at least one wire, either the switch is worn out, power from the switch isn't getting to the motor or the motor is worn out. If comfortable with vehicle electrical systems, you can apply 12v power directly to the motor and see/listen for motor operation. Make momentary connections to prevent overloading if the motor seized or window channel blocks movement.
