Game card slot broken

Hello everyone, so I inserted my sd2vita card into the game card slot and it got stuck. When i tried to pull it out like an idiot i ripped and bent the pins inside. Is there any way for replacement? Or any alternative? I dont need the game slot i just need to use the sd card.

Note: i have a wifi only version so no dice with that.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi!

You have selected the PSP, but I think it's regarding a PS Vita, correct?

Can you please confirm? Thanks!

Hi Pullie,

Thank you for your confirmation!

Now, the Game card slot AND it's memory slot are both soldered on the motherboard.

So, would you like to replace the both slots? Then soldering is required. If you have experience, I would replace it, otherwise ask a local repair shop.

If the memory card is still stuck in the game card slot, then open up the Vita and pry from the other side. So put something in the game card slot from the backside (I advise to use plastic tool, you can use a flathead screw drive, but be extremely careful) and push it to get it out.

Thank you for for the explanation. I only need to replace the game card reader, everything else works perfectly. I live in kurdistan so it's quite difficult to find/get parts here. I was actually thinking about a permanent fix by taking it to a repair shop and remove the shielding a solder the sd2vita directly to the pins. Worst case scenario I'll just replace the card reader best case it'll just work. Please tell me if there are some thing i should worry about and I'm overlooking. Thank you very very much for your answer🙏.

My pleasure! Happy to help! Soldering the memory card may be possible, but it's not convenient. If the memory card stops working, you need to redo everything. If you want to be safe, I would get a new memory card slot. Maybe you can check on AliExpress? Otherwise asking a local repair shop can do the trick.
