The display not turning on

Actually, this is a bad one My sister used my laptop and for some reason after she used it, the display is not turning on anymore then i found a dint near the screen and it seems like something heavy fall on it. The Laptop is still functioning i can connect it to my monitor and it functions well but the screen on the laptop it self is not functioning, what should i do? is it fixable without buying a new screen? Please help thank you!

Options

Since the laptop works normally on an external monitor and there's a visible dent near the screen, the internal display or display cable was likely damaged by impact. Unfortunately, this usually isn't fixable through software. Have a technician inspect the screen cable first, but a screen replacement may be necessary.
