Try cleaning the port with a toothbrush or tweezers. Be careful when using objects to clean the ports, you can damage the mesh or grills in the area. 99% isopropyl alcohol can help. The speakers require air to move air and thus produce sounds. If they are clogged with dirt or grime then they cannot move the air.
