The 3rd generation iPhone SE was announced on March 8th during the Peek Performance Apple event. It features an A15 chip and a 4.7-inch LCD display, similar to its predecessor, the iPhone SE 2020.

iPhone SE randomly goes into Sleep mode

My iPhone SE randomly goes into Sleep (Focus) mode. I have reset the device, removed the sleep schedule, and have taken it to Apple Genius Bar. They are stumped as is their remote technical support. They suggest it is a hardware issue and there is no coverage for my vintage phone. Besides buying a new phone, any suggestions?

If you've already removed the schedules, reset the phone, and Apple couldn't reproduce a software cause, then a hardware issue is definitely possible.

What's unusual is that Sleep Focus is a software feature, so I'd want to rule out random system crashes or corrupted settings first. Check the Analytics logs for panic-full entries and run an iPhone panic log analysis. If the phone is generating crashes in the background, that can sometimes cause strange behavior that looks unrelated to the actual fault.

If there are no panic logs and the issue persists after a full restore, then it may indeed be time to consider replacement given the age of the device.
