Why does it keep going into limp mode on the engine
After if a few minutes are driving the window or door locks will start up going on and off and then the gauges will freak out and start bouncing all over the dummy lights will come on the engine will go into reduced power mode and I have to pull over I can shut it off start it back up and it runs fine but only for a minute and then it starts doing it again it'll progressively get worse to where it won't start after so many times I replace the alternator I replaced the body control module I replaced the ignition that's in the steering column I've added an extra ground in the engine
Is this a good question?
The Xmas lights may be intermittent main power connections and/or incorrect charging. Standby voltage, 12.5vdc. Engine idling, 14.5vdc. Error codes are generated. Try retrieving them for a start. Once the alternator was replaced, it's the drive belt tight, not allowing belt slippage? What condition are main battery cables (one positive, one or two negative cables - battery negative to chassis, chassis to engine block)? Any powdery blue/white deposits (dried battery acid venting) on battery terminals can eat copper wires under the heavy insulation of battery cables, preventing full current flow for starting, charging, and running electrical/electronic loads. A warm solution of water and baking soda with a tooth brush can dissolve and neutralize battery residue (don't let this solution into battery refill holes), plain water rinse.
