Your steering has likely gone hard due to a seized universal joint (u-joint) on the immediate steering shaft, followed by power steering configuration failures split across the generation’s hydraulic and electric systems. This is very common on this type of car.
But also consider:
- Power Steering has failed
- Tracking rods are bent/faulty
- Something is caught up in the tracking rods/wheel area
You will need to bring this into an official Audi certified garage to have this fixed. They acknowledged the issue themselves so it is worth a talk with them.
