Possible to replace digitizer glass without replacing entire screen?
LCD is fine, glass is just cracked :/
Found a digitizer on Amazon for $15. Is this repair even possible, given that the display is laminated? lol
Is this a good question?

it can be done but you need a vacuum seal mechine to suck all air out to seal them , sorry it s cheaper to spend the money on a new screen

@nodaglass only repair is never easy. First you need enough heat to loosen the adhesive on the complete screen. Then you will need a very thin wire that you use to separate the old digitizer from the display. This is where thinks get tough. You will need to continue to apply enough heat to always keep the adhesive loose. A lot of times you also scratch the actual display which will pretty much ruin it. If you get it removed, you will then have to clean the display of any of the old adhesive. Of course, you can always get a Vacuum Screen Separator for a about $150-$200. Now you need the right (L)OCA to re-adhere the digitizer to teh display, Yes, a vacuum chamber would be a good tool to have to ensure you do not have any air bubbles etc. For the 13" screen you need a chamber that can accommodate that size so you are looking somewhere in the $5-600 + range :-)
Overall, a messy and never really pretty task. Unless you have done it a couple of times, and you have the right equipment, a Glass only repair usually ends up in having to purchase a complete display assembly anyway :-)
This is not to say you can't do it, just be aware of the pitfalls and that it may just cost you a bit more than a new complete display would have.

Thanks for all the info!
I'm gonna just try it without the specialty tools and see what happens! I'll let you know how it goes. The digitzer I found already has the OCA installed... It also came with the super thin cutting wire.
@noda best of luck to you and I really hope it works out for you.
