Declick a Sigma prime lens?

Hi, my Director loves videoing with the 50mm f2.8 macro, but the aperture ring clicks keep ruining the shotgun mic recording. Does anyone have any resources/ links/ experience or advice about how to declick this lens? Or Sigma lenses in general? Thank you

Most of the time there is a hole in the base lens ring which allows a ball bearing (detent ball) held by a leaf spring to press into the slots of the aperture ring.

If you can get your hands on the parts breakdown of the given lens you should be able to identify the F ring and how to gain access to it to then locate the detent ball to either remove it or remove or soften the spring.
