PS5 LAN Disconnecting/Reconnecting Repeatedly

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my PS5 where the LAN (Ethernet) connection repeatedly disconnects and reconnects almost instantly. This happens back to back , mostly within the first hour of turning on the console and starting a game. Sometimes it temporarily stops, but then the issue returns.

I’ve already ruled out the Ethernet cable by testing with another one, and I’ve seen others report similar issues online without a clear solution.

Side note: my HDMI port is loose, and I have to angle the cable for a stable display connection. I’m wondering if there could be any relation between the two issues maybe heat, board stress, or internal damage affecting both ports.

Would it make sense to replace the HDMI port first and see if that resolves the LAN issue, or is this more likely related to the Ethernet port or its solder connections?

Hi!

First of all, I don’t think it’s related to each other, BUT I would fix it anyway.

You either need to replace the HDMI port or maybe you can solder it in again for good.

Replacing the LAN port is also recommended. I’m afraid it’s the port it self. I would fix it at the same time and see how that goes!

Be aware, both jobs are difficult… maybe asking a repair shop would be a good thing to do.
