How to fix fan noise?

Apparently I have a laptop that runs normally but last months ago i used it for games and realized it was a working business laptop so i deleted them. For the past few months, I have heard the fan noise alot of times when turned on.

I would replace the thermal paste on the CPU or try to change the fan speed in the BIOS (power off the computer, turn it back on and repeatedly press the delete (del) key)
