Charging port failure when charging

If your laptop switches off the power adapter as soon as you connect it to the charging port, the issue is often related to the charging port, battery, or motherboard power circuit. First, inspect the charging port for dust, bent pins, or debris and clean it gently with compressed air. A damaged DC jack can also cause a short, forcing the adapter to shut off for safety.
