When I am talking to another person using my phone my sound is unable to be heard to one talking with

Can you be heard on a call when using the phone in loudspeaker (hands free) mode?
Can you be heard when on a call when using earphones with a microphone attachment being plugged into the headphone jack in the phone?
If the answers to the above are yes, then there may be a problem with the lower microphone or the voice inlet hole located between the headphone jack and the USB charge port connector on the bottom of the phone may be clogged with dust or lint.
Is the phone enclosed in a protective cover or case. If it is, try removing it from the cover/case and check if you can now be heard when on a call. If you can then the cover/case may have been blocking the voice inlet hole.
If it is not in a protective case or if it was and you still can't be heard when on a call, try using a vacuum cleaner to clear any obstruction from the voice inlet hole. Do not use a pin or probe to try and clear it as the microphone is located behind the hole and you may damage it.
If it still doesn't work, then the phone will need to be opened and tested to find out what the problem is.
