Late 2011 model, A1278 / 2.4 GHz i5 or 2.8 GHz i7 processor.

Battery is Not Charging (Green Light Only)

Late 2011 MBP A1278 i7 Model (Board # 820-2936)

Everything is running OK except the battery is not charging (Green Light Only).

PRAM & SMC Resets & different batteries tested, Diagnostics run.

I guess it is the charging. Charging MOSFETS.

Can anyone point me to where they are located on the board and their voltages please?

@livfe your logic board should be a 820-2936

With the battery connected, measure pin 4 and pin 5. Each one should have around 3.4V. If one is 0V you may have a bad diode on your board

Check Q7030 which is a RJK03E1DNS Silicon N Channel Power MOSFET; check the voltage on L7030 as well as R7020

Remember that your charging IC U7000 may actually be the issue here. that IC gets pretty hot and often fails from solder fatigue. Check pin 2 for around 3.9 to 4.5V and pin 3 for around 18.5 V.

Please read the question and then delete this answer, It is of no help at all as the unit is working fine, it is an issue with the charging circuit on the logic board.
