Heavy blue tint all over screen

Hi all. Ive got a Hisense 65 inch tv and pretty much the whole screen has a blue tint over it apart from the very edges. Only had it just over 2 years and paid £940 for it. Will a new backlight fix this issue or is it something more serious? The attached picture is the screen on a fully white background

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@downduck this looks much more serious than just a blue tint. This looks like your TV panel is either not receiving a video signal or not processing a video signal. Time to open it up and to take a look at the LVDS ribbon cables, the main board as well as the LCD buffer boards. Remove the back cover from your TV and take some good pictures of all of the boards etc. Post those with your Question so we can see what you see.

Thanks for the reply. There is tv signal this is just a white background to show how blue the screen is when it should be white. Currently got warm settings on and saturation turned up full to counteract the tint. Its watchable but very unnatural.

@downduck can you add a picture of a normal non-neutral background. Lets see what a picture looks like. Depends on how that shows it is possible that this heavy blue is caused by your backlight array.

@downduck

What's the screen like when viewing the TV settings menus?

Ive added some pictures of watching a film off pre installed disney app and picture of settings menu. Does look worse on the pictures but its definitely not right. Spoken to hisense who said because its 2 months out of warranty there's nothing they can do. Local tv repair guy wants 200 quid to fix it if it is backlight replacement.

@downduck yup! Sure looks like your backlights. I would definitely start with new backlight strips. I am not sure about your skill level and how comfortable you are replacing the LED strips. It is not to difficult be requires some dexterity and plenty of room since it is a large panel. a second or even third set of hands is always advisable ;-) What exact model is your Hisense?
