Touch screen bezel coming off

Hi guys,

Lately I was having some problems with my DSI XL's touch screen "pulling" to the left of the screen when touching. I inspected the screen and I noticed the border / frame / bezel around the screen has come loose a bit from the adhesive that attaches it to the touch screen. I cleaned it from any dust and debris but it won't attach properly to the screen anymore.

How would I have a go at repairing this properly?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi!

First of all, without the border, does it work?

If not, I would replace the touchscreen completely for a new one.

I would also get a new border from AliExpress. They are cheap and will stay on there.

Replacing is the best way to get it fixed, I'm afraid.

Please let us know how it goes!

Hi Koppie,

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes after cleaning under the border it works again but I would like to prevent dust and debris from accumulating under the border! I've searched online for a replacement but not sure what search query I should use. Is it called a touchscreen border? How would you go about removing and cleaning it properly if you don't mind me asking?

Okay that is good news!

You mean this > https://www.aliexpress.us/item/325680649... ?

You can get the "plastic color bezel" off it, I think (not sure).

Otherwise, if you buy a new shell, you will get it there as well. But then you need the exact same color as you are having now.

I'll always leave the touchscreen and the bezel there and clean it from the outside, if that doesn't work, I need to take off the bezel carefully and put it on there, if this failed, I need to replace it..
