@isaiahgivney the charging port is soldered to the charging board (sub board) If it is loose then it is possible that some of the solder connections may have failed. It's easy enough to replace the sub-board.

You do want to go ahead and download the Moto G Play XT2413 Level 2 Repair Manual from under the Documents tab on this page Motorola Moto G Play (2024) Page 47 will show you how the remove the sub-board. Of course, you will have to remove the back cover and midframe first as well. Again follow the manual for that.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same issues with their device. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.

Generally a loose charging port means the internal parts of the port have worn or broken and when that happens the only thing you can do is replace it. Fortunately, on your phone the port is mounted on an inexpensive daughter card that is easy to replace. Guides to that particular repair don't seem to be easy to come by, but there's a screen replacement YouTube video guide that shows you the information you need.

Follow the guide showing you how to remove the rear cover and the midframe, then skip over the part where they remove the motherboard since there's no reason to for your purposes. Starting at 3:26, they show how to disconnect and remove the charging port; stop once you've popped the board out. One step they don't show is disconnecting the white coax antenna; you'll need to unplug that but there's no reason to pull the whole cable out of the frame; just move it aside.

That's all there is to it; just reverse the process to install the new board. A quick search shows several of the selling for about $10 USD on Amazon, but a more general search will undoubtedly turn up several options and I'm sure you can find ones even less expensive if that's a concern.
