Depending on how severe the liquid damage may be, the device may only have so much time left. Liquid damage repairs can be a gamble. As far as tools and supplies, here's what I suggest from a repair shop perspective

  1. A magnetic screw pad to keep them organized. You can order something like this Magnetic Project Mat
  2. A heat source! You'll need something to soften the adhesive. You could use a heat gun or the iOpener from iFixit iOpener.
  3. A way to pry the old busted screen off Prying and Opening Tool Assortment
  4. The replacement digitizer iPad 10/11 Screen Digitizer
  5. You'll need some screwdrivers, driver bits, and tweezers, might be worthwhile to get the Pro Tech Go toolkit Pro Tech Go Toolkit, which does include guitar picks and other prying tools.
  6. An antistatic mat will give you something to place the iPad on while you're working on it Portable Anti-Static Mat
  7. Misc supplies such as q-tips, 99% isopropyl alcohol, paper towels, a thin razor blade, and acetone. Here's the link to a razor blade set, just use one of the flat narrow blades. Use the alcohol when removing the screen as it helps with lubricating the guitar picks. Before you install the new digitizer, use the acetone to clean up the old adhesive residue left on the frame, it'll help your new screen adhere better.

Good luck, and happy fixing!
