When I charge my laptop, only a blue light comes on; the screen doesn't turn on, and I can't hear the fans. I tried removing the battery or the hard drive, and the same thing happened.

If your Acer Aspire 7 shows only a blue charging light but won’t power on, doesn’t display anything, and the fans stay silent, it’s usually a power-related issue. First, unplug the charger and hold the power button for 30–40 seconds to discharge any residual power. Then reconnect the charger (without the battery, if removable) and try turning it on again.
Next, check the charger and charging port. A faulty adapter or loose DC jack can supply enough power for the LED but not enough to start the system. If possible, test with a known-good Acer-compatible charger.
Try a basic hardware reset: remove RAM, clean the slots, and test with one RAM stick at a time. Also disconnect any external devices. If there’s still no response, connect an external monitor to rule out a display issue.
If none of these steps work, the problem is likely with the motherboard or power IC.

@bnjakl give us more of an idea which Blue light comes on. What else have you checked? Checked to see if your computer gets power to the charging port etc?
