Why is it not turning on?
The laptop shows that it is charging but doesn't turn on, only to lose power when. It is about to launch.
Is this a good question?

Hi @nhlawuleko
Try a full power refresh in case the BIOS has become corrupted and is preventing a normal start i.e the laptop is not passing POST (Power On Self Test)
Here’s the procedure:
a). Disconnect the charger if connected.
b). Remove the main battery from the laptop and then open the laptop and remove the coin cell RTC battery from the motherboard. Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop that will help
Go to p.55 (63 of 174 pdf) and p.103 (111 of 174 pdf) in the guide, to view the procedure to remove the main battery and to remove the RTC coin cell battery from the motherboard, respectively. When the coin cell battery is removed from the laptop, use a DMM (digital multimeter - voltmeter function) to measure the battery’s voltage. If it is <2.5V DC or if the battery is >4-5 years old, replace it. Search online for 683502-001 to find suppliers that suit you best.
c). Reconnect the RTC coin cell battery (or replacement battery) on the motherboard, reassemble the laptop, reinsert the main battery into the laptop, connect the charger to the laptop and check if it turns on OK,
If it does there may be a message on the screen about the date and time being incorrect. This is normal as the BIOS has been reset. Once the date and time have been corrected, the message won’t appear the next time that the laptop is started.
