ti-86 screen not working

ti-86, when i push the on button, the screen blinks with a bunch of scribble lines on the bottom third of the screen, then nothing

changed all the batteries. dosen't look like there is any damage. prett much looks new.

check the cable connecting the display could be corroded or damaged.
